"More than ever, the designer's task is to mediate the balance between people and objects, poetry and logic, technology and nature," says Chan. "I am most interested in translating complicated technology into simple, understandable, and friendly products for people."
A graduate of the Cranbrook Academy of Art, Chan is an inventor as well as a designer and holds a number of patents. He has won awards in more than 20 design competitions around the world for his success in combining beauty with exceptional performance.
